ABOUT ME

Kyra is a seasoned Editor with over 16 years of experience in post-production, known for her versatility, creativity, and strong storytelling instincts. Her work spans an impressive range of unscripted television, including popular series like TLC’s 1000-lb Sisters, Fox Nation’s Duck Family Treasure, Discovery Channel’s Alaskan Bush People, MTV’s Teen Mom OG, and Animal Planet’s I Was Prey. Most recently, she edited the premiere episode of Hallmark’s new unscripted romcom Small Town Setup, which was nominated for Best Relationship Show by the 7th annual Critics Choice Real TV Awards in 2025.

While Kyra’s professional career has primarily focused on reality and documentary-style content, she is equally passionate about scripted storytelling. During her MFA in Television Production, she developed a sci-fi narrative pilot centered around alternate-dimension time travel and gained hands-on experience writing, directing, and producing both single- and multi-camera projects.

In addition to her editing work, Kyra has shared her expertise as an adjunct professor at Brooklyn College, where she taught for two semesters while actively working in the industry. That experience strengthened her leadership, communication, and mentorship skills—qualities she brings to every creative team and project she helps guide from concept through completion.

Driven by a deep passion for story and audience connection, Kyra’s goal is to continue shaping compelling content—whether through unscripted television, scripted formats, branded content, or leadership roles in media production.

We shall not cease from exploration
And the end of our exploration
Will be to arrive where we started
And know the place as if for the first time.
